For 2010 the IIM case study competition entries are open to any professional interims from a wide range of disciplines.
The first prize has a value of over £5000.
Hilary
Husbands, a director of the IIM said: “Last year was so successful that
we’ve attracted a prize sponsorship of over £10,000 for the current
year and we are opening up the competition to interims from all walks
of life, even if they aren’t members of the IIM.”
The format remains as last year’s – initially entrants will submit a
1000 word summary of their case study by August 27th. Six finalists
will have professional videos made, with on-line voting available in
case of a tie on the finals night. They will also be offered free
professional profiles in video form for their own use.
Finals night, on Thursday 7th October 2010, is in X-Factor style, with
finalists giving presentations to an audience of customers, peers and
recruiters and a high-powered panel of judges.
The four judges are:
• Dr David Butcher, Director of the Executive Education Programme at Cranfield University
• Chris Dines, CEO of Knowledge Peers
• John Cutts, CEO of Pall Mall Capital
• Pat Hartwell, Regional Director of the CIPD
The evening starts with a buffet supper at the Hilton Hotel,
Paddington. It’s a great start to the evening to be able to network
with so many people from such a range of backgrounds.
The compère is Mike Rowbottom, Former ITN news reporter who is now a senior lecturer at New Bucks University.
Last year’s winner, Diane Ashton-Jeanes, an HR expert says “I
thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, I’d encourage everyone to
enter. My advice would be keep your presentation simple and keep to
the time!”
The many prizes feature a £5000 voucher for a course of choice from the Cranfield Executive Programme.
